Leadership

To me, leadership is about service, accountability, and creating lasting change. It's not just about holding a title-it's about using my voice, skills, and influence to uplift others, foster inclusivity, and drive meaningful impact in my community. As a leader, I strive to be both a mentor and an advocate, ensuring that those Around me feel empowered and heard. Whether I'm organizing grassroots voter initiatives, advocating for health equity, or mentoring students, I lead with purpose, passion, and a commitment to progress.

Black Girls Vote

As the founding president of Louisiana's first Black Girls Vote chapter, I lead efforts to engage and empower Black women through grassroots voter education and civic engagement initiatives. I oversee the development of programs that encourage political participation, aiming to increase voter turnout and awareness within the community. My leadership focuses on organizing events, collaborating with local organizations, and advocating for policies that impact Black women.

In this video, I speak as the President of LSU’s Black Girls Vote, sharing our mission to empower young Black women through civic engagement and voter education. I discuss the importance of political participation, the impact of our grassroots initiatives, and how we are mobilizing students to make informed decisions at the ballot box. Through this platform, we aim to create a lasting impact on our community by amplifying voices that have historically been underrepresented in the electoral process.
